Big Lunch

The Big Lunch

Policeman eating ice-cream

On Sunday 5th June, Little Lane Church played host to a Big Lunch.

Members of the Church and local community organised this event to encourage community cohesion and most of all, for us to have a good time together.

There was music and drama along with the ability to try out your circus skills courtesy of Play Space.

Bradford Youth Players (BYP), who use the Church Commuinty Hall at Little Lane Church, performed excerpts from Oliver and Les Miserables.

The lead singer of Anjaana started the entertainment by singing whilst playing the Indian Harmonium.

The entertainment was concluded by the Church Music Group.

Preparing food for the Big Lunch

The food was provided by members of the local community and ranged from Samosa's, pasta and noodles to flapjack, fresh fruit, ice-cream and homemade cup cakes.

There were stands from the Air Cadets, Bible Fresh, healthy eating and neighbourhood watch. You could plant a seed and take it home to grow, try your hand at circus skills or make grass heads.

West Yorkshire police brought some vehicles which the children enjoyed looking round, whilst the adults seemed to enjoy watching the children try out the van's cage!

None of this would have been possible without the generous contributions from local sponsors.
